In an effort to gain floor space, the original bathroom bathtub was replaced by a curbless tile shower. Classic hexagonal mosaic and subway tiles were used with a complementary glass mosaic border and ceramic bullnose. Additional floor space was also gained by the use of a doorless shower. The bathroom floor houses a radiant system for comfort and heating. The floor was grouted with epoxy grout to facilitate cleaning. And the waterproofing of the shower was done using a combination of waterproofing and uncoupling membranes from Schluter-Systems.
