Sicis wood & porcelain
This is a one of a kind winter garden made of iron joists, concrete blocks and a huge rubber membrane is sufficiently big to fit small trees! The project required resurfacing the structure several times to achieve a flat, smooth and leveled surface suitable for tilling. The tile installation features a mix of porcelain and wood Sicis mosaics over an uncoupling membrane with several movement joints.
This project received an honorable mention from the Tile Terrazzo and Marble Association of Canada (TTMAC) for having reached the industry competition finals in 2009 – residential category.
