In this shower renovation, we replaced a leaking acrylic shower by a new ceramic tile shower stall. All surfaces were waterproof using the Schluter-System shower base, shower drain and waterproofing membrane. We used 2×2” mosaics on the shower floor and large 12×24” porcelain tiles on the walls in a vertical brick pattern. To maximize available space, the shower sills were custom made to a 2” thickness and were top-off with marble pieces. The old shower enclosure was replaced by a new extra clear glass to allow maximum natural light. And the tile installation was grouted with epoxy grout for color uniformity and easy maintenance.
