Schluter-Ditra membrane
There are a couple of floor membranes available in the market aimed at protecting tile installations. But, only Schluter-Ditra comes with an array of ingenious advantages like no other anti-cracking membrane. One single membrane incorporates load support, weight distribution, vapor management, waterproofing and an uncoupling mechanism that protects the tile installation by preventing movements from reaching the floor surface. Schluter-Ditra could be used over various types of substrates as well as indoor and outdoor. Made of polyethylene, with its characteristic square cavities and with a thickness of only 1/8”, this product replaces the second layer of plywood in many situation and is perfectly fitted for today’s large format tiles installations. The Ditra mat is also available in a 5/16″ thickness format for 24″ joists spreads and for other particular sub floor situations. As a Schluter-System specialist, we have been working with Schluter membranes way before they became the industry norm. Furthermore, the five industry awards we jointly won with Schluter-Systems (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013), all included the used of the Schluter-Ditra membrane.
